Fairmont Dubai has appointed Hazem Aouad as Director of Sales & Marketing.
Hazem brings a wealth of experience to this position with a career spanning over 15 years in the hospitality industry. He began his journey in the Sales & Marketing department as Sales Coordinator with the Ritz-Carlton, Doha in 2002. He was subsequently promoted to Sales Executive in 2003 and Sales Manager in 2004.
Hazem relocated to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2005 with Ritz-Carlton, Dubai as Sales Manager and was then promoted to Senior Sales Manager in charge of GCC countries two years later.
In 2008, he joined Kempinski Hotel, Mall of the Emirates as Assistant Director of Sales and was successfully promoted to Director of Sales in 2010. A year later, Hazem was appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Downtown.
He most recently held the position of Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing at Radisson Royal Hotel, Dubai and Radisson Blu Resort Fujairah before joining Fairmont Dubai.
As the Director of Sales & Marketing, Hazem will be responsible for the continuous development of Fairmont Dubai’s strategies in the market.
Hazem holds a Bachelor of Art degree in Hotel and Tourism Management from Notre Dame University, Lebanon and a Post-graduate Diploma in International Hospitality Management, University Centre Cesar Ritz, Brig, Switzerland.
