Two new chefs for Dubai’s Amwaj Rotana

Two speciality outlet chefs have joined the team at Amwaj Rotana Jumeirah Beach, Dubai.

Overseeing JB’s Gastropub is Andy Zyla, who brings 16 years of experience from hotels and restaurants in the UK and Maldives and has run operations of more than 800 covers with teams of around 100 staff.

Having been in the UAE for six years, Zyla has worked at The Westin and Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, Fairmont The Palm and The Address Montgomerie.

Joining American-Japanese chain, Benihana, is W.A.P. Sanjeewa, who was the specialty outlet chef of Teatro Downtown Rotana, Bahrain for three years prior to relocating to Dubai.

His experience includes F&B roles with Hideaway of Nungwi Resort & Spa in Zanzibar, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Hilton Colombo and Hilton Seychelles Resort and Spa.

The 301-key Amwah Rotana Jumeirah Beach has six F&B outlets offering Japanese, Italian and international cuisine.
