Crowne Plaza Dubai-Deira has announced the appointment of its new general manager, Georges El Hachem.

El Hachem holds a degree in Hospitality Management and started his journey with the IHG brand when he joined Phoenicia InterContinental Beirut in April 2002 trying himself in various roles of food & beverage, housekeeping, reservations, and sales departments. El Hachem did not always plan on becoming a hospitality professional, it was a spontaneous decision influenced by the novelty and trendiness of this emerging field back in the days.

With 17 years of experience in the industry, El Hachem has a proven track record of success in the commercial departments of various IHG hotels around the Middle East, including Crowne Plaza Dubai, InterContinental Muscat, Crowne Plaza Doha The Business Park, and InterContinental Dubai Marina where he was based for the past three years leading the sales & marketing department. Over the years of El Hachem’s career in IHG, he developed his own ‘success recipe’ for building winning teams. He believes that the key is not in hiring the most skilled people and motivating them, but in hiring motivated people and then inspiring them.
