Gates Hospitality to open new homegrown European Bar & Brasserie

An elegant new restaurant, Verve Bar & Brasserie, is set to open in mid-April at Grand Plaza Mövenpick Media City. Anticipated to be the new dining destination, Verve will be headed by a chef of Michelin background, Chef Jorge Grande, while also under the dynamic guidance of Dubai’s favourite chef duo, Nick Alvis & Scott Price.



With its chic dining room setup on the ground floor of the one and only 5-star hotel to open in Dubai Media City, Verve boasts stylish interiors complete with an open kitchen, giving the guests a “theatre experience” by witnessing the smells, the sounds and the sights of cooking, further elevating their senses for a remarkable dining experience.


The menu is designed to impress and surprise even the most discerning tastes. With the ethos being ‘less is more’, Verve focuses on simple yet great food, using only the best and freshest produce from the land and sea. With a natural and polished approached, some dishes will be prepared right in front of the guests with an interactive gueridon service.

Verve Bar & Brasserie is built and operated by Gates Hospitality, the mastermind team behind award-winning venues such as folly by Nick & Scott, Reform Social & Grill and Bistro Des Arts to name a few, marking this as the 10th venue under their belt after the grand opening Red Farm in Covent Garden, London.
