Jumeirah Restaurant Group has announced the closure of Japanese restaurant, Tokyo@theTowers and Harry Ghatto’s karaoke bar after 16 years of operations.

The space, which currently houses both venues, is located in Emirates Towers Boulevard and will reopen in early 2017 with a new concept.

Emma Banks, general manager of Jumeirah Restaurant Group, said: “We are committed to leading innovation in food and beverage and bringing the most exciting dining experiences to Dubai.

“We would like to thank our colleagues for their hard work and dedication, as well as our loyal guests for the support shown to Tokyo@theTowers and Harry Ghatto’s over the past 16 years. We look forward to introducing a brand new concept at the Boulevard early next year.”

In a press statement, Jumeirah Restaurant Group said it will “announce further details as they are confirmed”.

ET Sushi, a Japanese izakaya concept located below Tokyo@theTowers will continue operations.
