Rotana chef promoted to cluster role

Chef Marina Akhmedova has been promoted to cluster executive chef at Centro Capital Centre and Capital Centre Arjaan.

She joins from The Cove Rotana Resort, Ras Al Khaimah, where she was specialty chef.

The Russian national holds a diploma in cookery from the Culinary Institute Russia and brings more than 12 years’ experience to her role, having worked with international hotel chains previously.

She commented: “I am extremely excited to be given this opportunity of working with well renowned brands of Centro and Arjaan.

“I look forward to further enhancing my creativity in world cuisines and focusing my efforts on delivering the guest experience in line with Rotana brand standards.”

In her new position, she will lead the operations of the hotel’s portfolio, comprising two all-day dining restaurants, Tamarind and c.taste, takeaway deli concept, c.deli, Aroma lobby lounge and c.mondo bar.

Chef Akhmedova’s team also oversees dining for five meeting rooms at Centro and six at Arjaan, in addition to external catering requirements.
