What is your opinion of the Middle East’s F&B landscape?
The F&B market in the region is facing challenges ranging from security of supply, to quality of produce and food safety and hygiene. Consumers are becoming more demanding in terms of quality, health and nutrition. In such competitive market, F&B outlets have to stand out from the crowd by innovating and developing unique concepts and offerings.
What new products are you launching this year?
Boecker® has always been a trendsetter in the public health industry and will be launching very soon in the UAE its own proprietary disinfectant, Microbecs™, a professional disinfectant with a new patented technology that works against all types of microorganisms, including Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria, viruses, fungi and algae. Several formulations will be available ranging from ready to use, all purpose and food grade to specialised industrial ranges.
What are your company’s plans for the next 12 months?
With a continued development across UAE, Boecker® has been expending its operations to Ajman and Fujairah in addition to its offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. In order to strengthen our market presence, we are planning to open new branches in the remaining emirates Ras Al Khaimah and Al Ain. We are working on the development of our brands portfolio to cater to the different needs of our clients in the F&B and hospitality sector by providing them with more added value services such as Mystery Shopper and Kitchen Audits, we are boosting as well our Q-Platinum AwardTM (QPATM) programme for Small and Medium Food Establishments (SMFEs), in addition to innovative bird control solutions and disinfection solutions for central kitchens, F&B outlets, restaurants and hotels common areas.
