Tribes Carnivore, an all-you-can-eat casual dining concept from Food Fund International will open at Dubai Mall on 31 August.
The restaurant, with dark wood and earthy-toned interiors, serves a meat-focused menu, plays tribal music and employs staff from African tribes to set the tone of the venue.
African tribal drummers and live singers will perform for guests on birthdays and special occasions.
The venue has indoor and outdoor seating, accommodating up to 138 guests in total, with 96 inside and 42 on the terrace overlooking The Dubai Fountains and Burj Khalifa.
The menu, which changes every few days, includes spicy lamb rump steaks, Cape Malay spiced prawns, BBQ glazed short ribs and rump steaks, carved at the table and sides include salads, polenta chips, truffle mash and chat potatoes.
The culinary team is headed up by executive chef Prabakaran Manickam.
Tribes Carnivore is the second opening of under the Tribes brand, following the opening of Tribes in Mall of the Emirates, Dubai in 2011.
The all-you-can-meat lunch is priced at AED 135 while the all-you-can-meat dinner is AED 165.
The outlet is open from 11.30am – 11pm on weekdays and 11.30am – 12am on weekends.
Food Fund was developed as a concept over 10 years ago by Costa Tomazos, the chairman of Food Fund International, who started his F&B experience in the 1970s by opening one of the first steakhouse chains in South Africa.
The company’s portfolio includes EatGreek, The MeatCo and Ribs and Rumps.
