Cheese lovers will have a taste of history with the presence of the Ile de France range at Gulfood 2018 which runs from February 18-22 in Dubai’s World Trade Centre (DWTC).
The brand is named after the ship which first imported brie and camembert cheeses into the USA in 1936.
The name Ile de France was chosen for the brand because it reflects the elegant and luxurious 1930’s lifestyle that the liner came to represent, said a spokesperson.
“With a wide range of French cheeses that have been carefully selected by our in-house experts, Ile de France products are the perfect gateway to gourmet food and the French way of life. They are 100% natural and preservative free and cheese enthusiasts instantly recognise our products due to their freshness and unique flavour,” said the spokesperson.
“Thanks to their unique technology and packaging, Ile de France cheeses retain their flavour and freshness once ripe.”
They added that beneath its thin and undulating white rind, the Ile de France mini brie cheese has the unctuous texture and creamy taste that you expect from a brie, but in a format ideal for gourmets on the go!
