Meliã Desert Palm Dubai

A A

More of an experience, rather than simply a property where one can unwind and relax, Meliã is a state of mind – it’s hospitality in a category of its own, and something that you’ll rarely find in busy cities like Dubai.

An urban oasis set amidst a 160-acre polo estate with a naturally contemporary design welcoming guests in 39 spacious rooms, suites and villas, the hotel is a mere 20 minutes from Dubai’s urban centre. Meliá Desert Palm is the the perfect setting for an elegant hideaway.

From creative restaurants and bars showcasing culinary creations, to Samãna spa, a riding school, and championship polo fields, the resort’s manicured surrounds give the world’s most elite travellers a haven to call home in Dubai.

The Palm Suite boasts unique views of the retreat’s main championship polo field and a spectacular panorama of the iconic Dubai skyline adds a sense of drama to this modern open-plan room. It’s kitted out with modern facilities, beautifully designed and features floor-to-ceiling windows from which you can see the main restaurant.

Culinary experiences include Epicure, which offers all-day dining. Guests can savour Brasserie-style classics with a la carte poolside casual dining. There’s also the gourmet display of freshly baked breads, imported delicacies, artisan cheeses, home-smoked cuts, luxurious pastries and desserts.

The restaurant’s breakfast sets are what dreams are made of, each featuring cuisine favourites. If you go for Arabic, expect a hearty, spicy shakshouka, labneh, falafel and much more. Not only is it filling, but it’s also served on an artisan tray for that authentic touch.

Rare is the hotel’s signature Restaurant, featuring a wood-fired grill and overlooking the main championship polo, serving chilled bubbles and indulgent tapas; it specialises in meats, seafood and chicken. Vegetarian options are also available.

The venue serves up one of the best brunches in town, with a selection of appetisers from the Peruvian chef including leche de tigre ceviche, mixed empanadas, smoked salmon with a twist, maki rolls with different fillings and other delicacies.

Plus, lots of specialties for the main from the ‘asado’ grill with exclusive Argentinian beef cuts, where guests can tuck into a family-style feast, choosing from tenderloin, rib-eye, lamb chops, and more. Chicken and chubby sausages are also on the menu. Desserts include phenomenal dulce de leche crepes and crème brûlée with a twist.

The hotel also houses Red Bar and Polo Bar, in addition to a shisha lounge, overlooking the main championship polo field – the star of the property.

From super friendly, dedicated staff, to the stables and a secret garden where you can admire the beauty of peacocks just strolling about, Meliã is an unmissable Dubai property within a very unique setting.
