Foodies from across the UAE will have the opportunity to join Chef Massimo Bottura on October 16-17 at his only restaurant outside of Italy, Torno Subito.
Located at W Dubai – The Palm, the hotel’s signature Italian restaurant will see Bottura cook up an eight-course menu of some of his favourite childhood dishes.
Guests will be able to experience Torno Subito’s playful 1960s Italian Riviera vibe, while enjoying an array of mouth-watering dishes carefully prepared by one of the world’s greatest chefs.
Priced at AED 450 per person and inclusive of a welcome drink, or AED 595 per person with three glasses of select beverages, the menu will start with Massimo’s famous welcome from the kitchen, the pappa al pomodoro, before moving on to five small plates, which will include the unconventional Caesar salad, made up of 14 ingredients from Modena, Dubai and New York, Massimo’s favourite dish, the focaccia with robiola cheese and black truffle, a calzone filled with mozzarella and scamorza, polpo, which is made with roasted octopus, green pea velvet and crunchy pickled vegetables and a fassona beef tartare with Mediterranean ingredients.
The sixth dish on the menu is the famous tagliatelle al ragu, which is made using Borruta’s favourite hand-chopped wagyu ragu – the same recipe from Osteria Francescana, Massimo’s three Michelin- starred restaurant in Italy, which has also topped the World’s 50 Best Restaurants twice (2016 and 2018).
Diners can then enjoy the sweetest of finishes with the ‘Tiramisubito’ dessert featuring foamy mascarpone, coffee ice cream, espresso sauce and meringue.
