Pierchic Dubai, at Madinat Jumeirah has hired Julian Biddulph as the new general manager of the over-water restaurant.
Biddulph has been part of Jumeirah Restaurant Group for one year as general manager of fine-dining restaurant, The Ivy, at Jumeirah Emirates Towers.
Having begun his career in London in F&B service roles at Radisson Edwardian Hotels, Biddulph later held management positions at The Conran Group (now D&D London) as general manager of Osteria dell’Arcano and Luciano by Marco Pierre White Group.
Biddulph then moved to Singapore where he gained experience as assistant F&B Manager at luxury five-star hotel, The Stamford. Part of the hotel’s F&B portfolio is Jaan, which last year was ranked number 74 on The S. Pellegrino World’s Best Restaurant 2015 list.
In 2011, Biddulph was approached by Gordon Ramsay Holdings to become the general manager of Opal and Gordon Ramsay in the St Regis, Doha. He was simultaneously appointed head sommelier for the hotel.
In his new role, Biddulph is tasked with ensuring the restaurant retains its standing as one of Dubai’s most prestigious venues, while continuing to drive standards forward.
