Dubai-based distributor Early Bird have launched a new mineral water range with the aim to reduce waste.
In line with the UAE Government’s Vision 2021, which aims to divert waste from landfills by 75% by 2021, Early Bird have developed a new concept for water consumption of direct and commercial consumers.
Their new range of German mineral water in high-calibre glass bottles works on a ‘deposit system’ that results in zero waste for the UAE.
“It is more important than ever for companies and individuals to take responsibility for protecting the environment for future generations,” Michaela Durm, managing partner, Early Bird said.
“Our Zero Waste Mineral Water is the first step in creating a culture of sustainable responsibility that we hope will see more and more brands opt to avoid creating more pollution and toxic waste.”
Commercial consumers can choose from their Luxury Water – Liz or one of their Premium Waters – the sparkling Rosbacher or baby-friendly still bio-water Elisabethen.
Early Bird then delivers the appropriate quantities in specially designed safe-storage crates -with a reuse lifespan of over 100 years- for a small refundable deposit. Once the empty bottles have been re-housed in the crates, they are collected and returned to the factory, making them completely waste neutral.
