The Organization of Residence Permits for Investors, Entrepreneurs and Professional Talent has granted hospitality entrepreneur, Naim Maadad, with a golden visa. Recognised for his commitment to and development of the hospitality industry across the United Arab Emirates, Maadad’s business, Gates Hospitality, has launched and nurtured numerous home-grown concepts in the region over the last decade.

Maadad says, “I’m extremely grateful to have called Dubai my home for the last 15 years, with over ten of those spent developing my business to support the hospitality sector and launch homegrown brands in the region. I’m now working alongside colleagues and chefs in the city who share the same goals and passion to support government initiatives and position Dubai as one of the world’s best dining destinations.”

In 2019, the UAE implemented a new system for long-term residence visas. The new system enables foreigners to live, work and study in the UAE without the need of a national sponsor and with 100 per cent ownership of their business on the UAE’s mainland. These visas will be issued for 5 or 10 years and will be renewed automatically.
