Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf, a 5-star property in the heart of downtown Dubai, has announced the appointment of Raj Devas as Director of Sales, leading the Sales and Marketing team.
Raj Devas adds Marriott Al Jaddaf to his portfolio of internationally renowned hotels, with 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He has worked for numerous hospitality brands in France, Bora Bora, and the UAE, bringing a wealth of international experience and industry knowledge to his current role.
In 2013, Raj embarked on his journey with Marriott International managing Starwood Hotels Paris Cluster as Account Director. In his time managing the cluster, Raj achieved 120% of the target in 2014, becoming the top performer in sales for the year.
Following his ongoing success with the hotel group, in 2017, he led the Sales and Marketing team at Renaissance Paris La Defense Hotel in France. Under Raj’s leadership, the 330-roomed property achieved a 6.2 per cent increase in RevPAR index, while the total revenue increased by 10% over the set annual budget.
After relocating to the UAE and prior to joining the Marriott Al Jaddaf, Raj was appointed as the Director of Sales of Marriott Al Forsan in Abu Dhabi in February 2019. Playing a pivotal role at Marriott Al Forsan, he developed and implemented effective sales strategies, and created successful annual strategic plans which ensured the hotel’s continuous progress.
