Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments Bur Dubai has appointed Gyula Harangi as executive chef.
Born in Hungary, Harangi transferred to his new role from the company’s Deira hotel, where he had worked as executive chef since October 2013.
Prior to moving to Dubai, Harangi worked as executive chef at Movenpick Hotel Kuwait.
The chef has also held roles with Corinthia Hotels in Hungary and Portugal and first started out in the F&B industry with Hyatt Hotels in Budapest.
In his new role, Harangi is responsible for the kitchen operations of Fountain all-day dining restaurant, Indian restaurant, Chutney’s, British sports bar, Somerset’s and the lobby café.
He will also oversee room service, catering and special events.
