In light of the holy month of Ramadan, Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts across Dubai put a smile on the faces of more than 80 underprivileged children and families from Action Care with a special Charity Iftar as part of its corporate social responsibility programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Gerard Hotelier, Vice President Operations of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts Middle East & South Asia said, “At Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, we are dedicated to give back to the community where we operate, and there is no better time than the Holy Month of Ramadan to create this moment of generosity. We are delighted to host these special guests and share the true spirit of Ramadan with them.”
Jonathan Bergstrom, Project Director of Action Care thanked Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts for being a part of their “Gift of Giving” initiative, under which Iftar events are held for orphans, individuals with special needs, underprivileged children and families throughout the UAE, in an effort to give them a memorable Ramadan.
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts Charity Iftars were held on 9th and 18th June at Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments Bur Dubai, where diners enjoyed a delicious Iftar buffet, featuring an array of traditional Ramadan favourites.
The Charity Iftar was organised as part of Shine, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts’ global corporate social responsibility programme. Shine’s pillars are Environment, Employer and Social Sustainability, with a special focus on Education.
