Taj Dubai’s Tesoro restaurant has hired Aabhas Mehrotra as its new chef de cuisine.
Chef Mehrotra joins the hotel from The Oberoi Mumbai, where he had worked as the hotel’s sous chef since 2013.
Prior to this, he was line cook for The Oberoi Group, in which role he travelled around hotels in Indian developing his skills in cost management, people management, restaurant development and banquet operations.
Chef Mehrotra’s chef career began at Oberoi Center of Learning and Development, after which he joined Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra in India, where he gained experience under Michelin-starred chef Daniel Hebert.
In his new role at Tesoro, chef Mehrotra will focus on honing his creative skills while assisting in the preparation of Tesoro’s international dishes.
