Al Faisaliah Hotel and Hotel Al Khozama in Riyadh, has named Russell Loughland as the new director of sales and marketing.
A seasoned hotelier, Loughland is a British national and is expected to bring his expertise to the role, as he develops the domestic and international sales and marketing strategy for the two properties.
Loughland’s appointment is part of a strategic drive to strengthen Al Faisaliah’s commercial initiatives in the increasingly competitive luxury hospitality market in Saudi . With more than 25 years experience within the hospitality industry, most recently, Loughland held the position of executive assistant manager for Crowne Plaza Kuwait Al Thuraya City.
In this role he was responsible for the pre-opening project management of the new 5-star, 140-room and 71-suite conference and convention property. Previous experience includes stints with: Shangri La, Fairmont, Banyan Tree, Rosewood as well as Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi and the Regency Kuwait.
