Why have you chosen to support the Leaders in Hospitality Awards? As the leading foodservice partner to the foodservice industry, HORECA Trade is always keen to support events in the hospitality industry. This is also a great opportunity to meet and honour the industry leaders and to build networks with our existing and potential customers.
What is your opinion of the Middle East’s hospitality landscape? In the Middle East the hospitality landscape has changed considerably over the last few years. With the help of technology, the F&B industry is using social media and other applications to allow it to reach newer and wider markets. Consumers have become very knowledgeable about their food now and every other person is a foodie. The trend for more experiential dining is rapidly becoming popular and the distributers need to adapt to this and provide items to allow restaurants to differentiate.
What new products are you launching this year? We have recently launched two new brands – CSM Bakery Solutions and Daymark. CSM Bakery Solutions is an international leader in the bakery industry, with 27 manufacturing facilities, offering a wide range of premium quality bakery ingredients and finished products such as donuts, cookies, muffins, cakes and cupcakes for retail and foodservice markets. The second is DayMark, the world leader in providing safety labelling systems, first aid kits, sanitisation and cleaning equipment, gloves, safety cutters, cutting boards, pan liners, hygiene apparel and many more. We also have more exciting new brands in the pipeline!
What are your company’s plans for the next 12 months? Having recently moved into the equipment business, we will continue the journey of our portfolio expansion into new categories. We are also focusing on excellent customer service by ensuring we meet all our customers’ expectations in terms of demand, delivery timings and communication.
