Roland Corko, sales director, discusses the latest trends in outdoor furniture and how the new Haute Couture 2016 is tapping into these trends.
Can you share some details about the company history?
We are a high-end outdoor furniture producer, founded 1999 in Croatia with the main global office based in Dubai, and production in Indonesia, Dubai and Croatia. Our products are made of the finest raw materials, German wicker Rehau (warranty five years), US fabrics Sunbrella (warranty on fading five years) and quick dry foam for sun bed mattresses and cushions with most of our customers coming from 5-star properties and developers.
What are some of the latest trends being seen in your industry?
The latest trends are a combination of different materials to achieve contemporary and high-end designer furniture. Combining aluminum frames embedded in synthetic wicker with the elements of teak wood is something that designers currently like at most. Our latest collection, Haute couture 2016 has a lot of elegant and beautiful designs similar to those mentioned above.
What factors differentiate the company from other suppliers in the same field?
Sun and shades has a custom made production concept which comes from the notion furniture must fit and suit any exterior designs to be in symmetry with any outlet area. As a tailor made furniture producer, we see customisation as one of our biggest advantage compared to that of our competitors. Our designers have the capacity to give some ideas to hoteliers and propose the most elegant furniture for their outlets based on their concepts and ideas.
Which regions across the Middle East do you supply to, and where are your key source markets for business?
We supply to the UAE, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar.
