What is the Leaders in Hospitality Awards?

The Middle East’s hospitality industry has grown meteorically in recent years and today the region boasts an impressive array of  talent. The Leaders In Hospitality Awards have been designed to celebrate excellence and innovation, highlighting the people and places shaping the region’s hospitality landscape. There are 29 awards divided into hotel and individual categories, each recognising examples of outstanding achievements in their field.

Where and when is it happening?

The Leaders in Hospitality Awards will take place at Sofitel The Palm on 23 April.

What are the award categories?

A full list of award categories for the Leaders In Hospitality Awards is available here: Categories

Who can put forward nominations for the Leaders in Hospitality Awards?
If you work in the hotel industry in the Middle East, you can nominate your colleague(s) or business for an award. If you work for a PR or communications agency which represents a hospitality client, you can nominate your client, however please do this in collaboration with them to avoid duplication of entries.

Can I submit more than one nomination?
You can submit more than one nomination, however separate forms must be completed for each nomination.

Can I nominate myself?
You cannot submit a nomination for yourself. If you would like to be considered for an award, please approach a member of staff in your public relations or human resources department who can assist you by submitting a nomination on your behalf.

What countries can put forward nominations?
For the purposes of the Leaders In Hospitality Awards, the ‘Middle East’ refers to the Gulf Corporation Council (GCC) countries (Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and Kuwait) and Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon. Nominations can be submitted for any business or individual operating in any of the listed countries.

How do I write a good nomination?
Please read the categories list carefully and fill out the nomination form to the best of your ability, including as much detail as possible and any proof points you can offer, such as evidence of the candidate/business meeting and exceeding KPIs or growth targets and examples of outstanding performance/achievements. Any nomination found to contain false information will be disqualified.

How do I submit my completed nomination form?

Please return your submission(s) to HNMEsocial@bncpublishing.net by 23.59 on Thursday, 28 March. Entries will not be accepted after this date.

Who is judging the event?

Every category will be judged by our panel of experts to ensure the competition is transparent and fair. The judging panel will be announced shortly.

How does judging work?

When nominations close, the team at Hotel News Middle East will send all the entries to the judges, along with a scorecard. The judges will score each entry independently and return them to the team. Final scores will then be calculated. The shortlisted candidates will be contacted and required to attend the awards ceremony in Dubai. The winners will be announced live that evening.

How can I attend?

To enquire about tables and seats at the event, please contact Samer Alloush at samer@bncpublishing.net

How do I sponsor?

Sponsorship opportunities are still available, however it is recommended that anybody who does wish to sponsor, confirms their participation at the soonest in order to take advantage of the full pre-event coverage. Sponsors benefit from brand presence at the event, pre-event editorial and VIP attendance on the night. For a full list of packages email samer@bncpublishing.net
